Just finished my first workout of Week 1 and I have to report that even though I am sweaty and guzzling water like it's going out of style, this has been the easiest workout I have done up to date. I'm thinking back to my first day of Level 1 of the 30 Day Shred and how I exhausted and nauseated I felt when I finally finished the workout (after pausing the video about 15 times to catch my breath). I'm so glad that I'm not back at that starting point with this new 30 day challenge and that I can actually start using heavier weights during the strength circuits and work on toning my upper body.
There are a couple things I like more about Ripped in 30 in comparison to the 30 Day Shred.
1) There are three strength exercises in each circuit instead of only two
2) The exercises are less repetitive
3) There aren't as many "modified" exercises offered to you (therefore you are forced to push yourself into doing the harder moves)
4) Jillian has come up with new sayings to keep you motivated.
My favourite? "Transformation is not a future event. It is a present activity"
To health and happiness!
